In St. Petersburg, near the building of the city electoral commission, police interrupted a picket of the candidate to the city’s legislative assembly from the “Fair Russia – Patriots – For Truth” party Olga Galkina and detained her, as well as several activists, informs OVD-Info.
A spontaneous protest against violations during the counting of votes in the elections began at about 18:00 under the windows of the St. Petersburg Election Commission. Up to 30 people took part in the action.
Olga Galkina stood with a poster “21 districts of the TEC and Beglov stole the election results” for only a few minutes. The police checked Olga Galkina’s documents and said that pickets were prohibited.
According to the Telegram-channel “Detentions St. Petersburg”, only five people were detained from those who gathered near the building of the election commission. Among the detainees were activists Pyotr Ilyin and Andrei Shvaya. They were taken to the St. Petersburg Police Department # 1. Olga Galkina was then released without drawing up a protocol. This is the second detention for her against the background of attempts to challenge the results of the vote.
