<p>An unknown person transferred all funds from the wallet of the WEX cryptocurrency exchange in the amount of 9,916 ETH (just over $ 30 million) to the new address.  About it <a href="https://forklog.com/neizvestnyj-otpravil-vse-9916-eth-s-koshelka-birzhi-wex-na-novyj-adres/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">informs</a> Forklog.</p>
<p>The transaction is currently awaiting confirmation.</p>
<p>The price of 1 Gas per translation is set at 20 Gwei with the recommended 84 Gwei.  Gwei is a unit of measure for ETH.  One ETH equals one billion Gwei.  The more Gwei is given for 1 Gas, the faster the transaction will be completed.</p>
<p>“The fact that the transaction was carried out, giving only 20 Gwei, most likely speaks in favor of the fact that it was carried out by a person who is not very knowledgeable in crypto. <p>Criminal cases have been opened against Vasiliev in Russia, Belarus and China.  In all these countries, he is accused of stealing $ 450 million using the WEX exchange.  According to the investigation, the money of investors from the EU countries, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan was stolen through it.</p>
<p>Since 2017, Vasiliev has been the director of a cryptocurrency exchange and the owner of the official legal entity of the company, registered in Singapore.  In 2018, Vasiliev sold this legal entity to the family of businessman Dmitry Khavchenko.  According to the BBC, Khavchenko fought in eastern Ukraine on the side of the separatists under the call sign &#8220;Sailor&#8221;.</p>
