A scuffle broke out at a polling station in the Israeli city of Nof-a-Galil during the voting in the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Russians permanently residing in Israel were refused to issue a ballot in a single-mandate constituency. They were told that it is issued only to those registered in the Kaluga region.
Having signed and received a ballot paper for the party, voters asked why it says “Kaluga Region” on top of it. The members of the commission got scared that they had given out the wrong papers, tore them out of their hands and tore the ballot paper, informs “Map of electoral violations”. They also threatened with violence and used physical force against the voter Mikhail Voronkov.
Voronkov himself wrotethat the guard threatened to kill him and tried to remove him from the site using force.
In connection with the incident, a crime report was filed with the Israeli police. Voters also plan to apply to the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia.
