In the Moscow districts of Kotelniki and Lyubertsy, a group of unknown persons attacked the Yabloko candidate for the State Duma, Viktor Balabanov, as well as several observers from the same party. About it informs Radio Liberty.
The incident took place near the polling station No. 1137 in the city of Kotelniki. When the candidate and observers were leaving the PEC territory, several young people with the badges of the commission members approached them and in an obscene manner demanded to stop observing the voting, threatening them with physical violence.
After the candidate and observers got into the car to leave the territory of the polling station, they were surrounded. According to Balabanov, in fact, they were held hostage, since they were not allowed either to get out of the car or to move. He added that he called the police several times, but upon arrival, the police did not help them and left.
One of the observers also said that at the site he recorded several violations at once.
The last day of voting in the parliamentary and regional elections in Russia ends today. According to the first data on electronic voting from the regions, United Russia received 54.25% of the votes, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation – 11.65%, A Just Russia – 8.25%, the Liberal Democratic Party – 7.86%, New People – 7 , 66%. Moscow has not yet been counted.
