YouTube has blocked a video with the recommendations of “Smart Voting” in the elections to the State Duma

YouTube blocked a video on Alexei Navalny’s channel with recommendations for Smart Voting in the State Duma elections.

On September 18, Roskomnadzor demanded that YouTube remove three videos from Navalny’s channel. In one of them, Navalny’s comrades-in-arms show the list of “Smart Voting”, in the other – a video by Kira Yarmysh about State Duma deputy Valentina Tereshkova, in the third video candidates who are supported by “Smart Voting” are shown. The video about Tereshkova remains, the rest are deleted.

Roskomnadzor also demanded that Google remove documents listing candidates recommended by Smart Vote. These documents are currently not available.

On September 17, Apple and Google removed the Navalny app from the App Store and Google Play for Russian users. Lists of “Smart Voting” were published in the application.
