The Istra city court sentenced four prisoners who escaped from the IVS in August this year together with Alexander Mavridi, accused of the murder of the “sausage king” Vladimir Marugov. About it writes Kommersant citing a representative of the Moscow Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the publication, Ivan Turcanu, Alexander Butnaru, Denis Grozava and Nikolai Teteria were found guilty of theft, robbery and theft of weapons (Articles 158, Articles 162 and 226 of the Criminal Code). The longest term – 11 years in a strict regime colony – was received by Alexander Buntara, who was recognized as the organizer of a criminal group. Two other prisoners were sentenced to 6 years in a general regime colony, one more – 6 years and 11 months in a maximum security colony.
Five people escaped from the Istra IVS on the night of 6 August. The prisoners, presumably, were able to escape by unscrewing the bolts on the locks with a wrench. All those who escaped were subsequently detained. Investigators opened a case abuse of authority and detained two employees of the detention center.
In the backpack of Alexander Mavridi, whom the police detained on September 13 in the Mitino area, they found 70 thousand rubles, $ 3 thousand and € 1350.
