Director Andrei Zvyagintsev was put into an artificial coma after suffering a coronavirus. How informs The Bell, citing sources familiar with the situation, doctors are now preparing to withdraw him from this state.
According to the publication, the director has already been disconnected from life support systems.
In mid-August, after suffering a coronavirus, Zvyagintsev was taken to Germany for treatment with almost 90% lung damage, Baza reported.
The Bell interlocutors confirmed that the director’s condition was extremely serious, the lung damage was 92%, he was on the ECMO apparatus.
Another source told The Bell that AFK Sistema finances the treatment and rehabilitation of the famous filmmaker. The company declined to comment.
It is assumed that the rehabilitation of Zvyagintsev will also be carried out in Germany, said one of the interlocutors.
