The Oktyabrsky District Court of Ulan-Ude sentenced three police officers who beat and raped a detained 17-year-old with a bottle. About it informs Mediazona with reference to solution court.
The police officers were sentenced to real terms and deprived of the right to hold positions in the police. As noted on the court’s website, the verdict has not yet entered into legal force. The term of the sentence has not yet been disclosed, however, according to the newspaper “Number one” and Baikal-Daily, two police officers were sentenced to 9.5 and 9 years in a maximum security penal colony, and the third to 5.5 years in a maximum security penal colony.
The police officers were convicted of abuse of authority with the use of violence and “actions of a sexual nature” against a minor.
The teenager was detained on July 4 in the afternoon of his birthday, when he tried to get into the apartment of a friend who had lost the keys. On the way to the police station No. 2, the detainee was driving “with his arms twisted up, his face in the seat, gasping for breath,” he was “intimidated”, demanding “to confess to something.” At the police station itself, the police beat the teenager and raped him with an “incomprehensible subject”, threatening to publish the video. According to a relative of the victim, it was a plastic bottle. Doctors diagnosed a bruised shoulder and a ruptured rectum.
After the initiation of the criminal case, the police colleagues demanded that the victim’s family “close the issue” and offered a million rubles for this.
