The killer of the “sausage king” caught in Moscow was found on cameras with face recognition. He had a large sum of money with him.

The fugitive was detained on the evening of September 13 in one of the shops in the Moscow district of Mitino. As before reported TASS, citing a source in law enforcement, Mavridi was traced thanks to CCTV cameras with a face recognition system. During the arrest, he tried to actively resist, but was rendered harmless. The interrogation footage shows that the man is visibly limping.

Let us remind you that on August 6, five prisoners escaped from a temporary detention center in Istra, among whom was Alexander Mavridi, accused of the murder of “sausage king” Vladimir Marugov, illegal imprisonment of a person and extortion of property. One surrendered a day later, two were detained on August 11, and the fourth was caught on August 18.

As Telegram-channel 112 noted, on the night of August 6, the IVS officer on duty transferred Mavridi from one cell to another at the request of one of the fugitives and did not close the “feeding trough”. This allowed the inmates to dismantle the lock using a wrench, which is “prohibited in circulation in the IVS premises”. Then the fugitives tore off the padlock on the gate and went towards the Istra railway station.

Several employees of the IVS are suspected of facilitating the escape. In particular, on September 1, the Investigative Committee said that and. O. the head of the detention center is accused of unlawfully placing the fugitives in one cell despite the fact that they were involved in the same criminal case. In addition, two more employees of the IVS who were on duty on the night of the escape were arrested.
