The Perovskiy court of Moscow fined the center “Violence.net” (included in the register of non-profit organizations – “foreign agents”) 300 thousand rubles, and its director Anna Rivina – 100 thousand rubles due to the lack of marking “foreign agent” on the website of the publication “Utopia” … About it reported in the Telegram channel, the head of “Agora” Pavel Chikov.
The human rights organization and its leadership were charged with violating the procedure for the activities of a non-profit organization acting as an “foreign agent” (Article 19.34 of the Administrative Code). The decision will be appealed.
The court found that until March 29, Utopia was a project of the Violence.net center. Moreover, according to data edition, the center is charged with the absence of marking on the April publications. Utopia itself denies links with Nasiliyu.net and claims to have become an independent Internet building even before the center was entered on the register of “foreign agents”.
The Human Rights Center “Violence.net” helps people who have faced domestic violence. In December last year, the organization was included in the list of “foreign agents”. Center Director Anna Rivina spokethat Violence.net does not meet the criteria for inclusion in the register, since the center is not engaged in political activities. Previously, the organization has already been fined for the fact that she did not independently submit documents for inclusion in the list.
