The Prosveshchenie Publishing House has suspended the publication and distribution of the printed version of the English textbook, where a link to the porn site was published. About this TASS stated in the press service of “Enlightenment”, adding that the publishing house has applied to Roskomnadzor with a request to block the resource indicated in the illustration on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, a link to a porn site was found in a sixth grade English textbook “Spotlight” recommended by the Ministry of Education. About the link “Fontanka.ru” reported reader.
The link is found in the editions of the textbook of 2008 (circulation – 70 thousand copies), 2014 (50 thousand) and 2021. The website itself is still operational, in 2021 it last changed ownership.
This is a textbook that has repeatedly passed state expertise.
