President Vladimir Putin invited the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) to publish the scoresheet of the Russian athletes’ performances at the Tokyo Olympics. He stated this at a meeting with the Olympians in the Kremlin, transfers RIA Novosti.

In his opinion, the assessments of the Russian gymnasts who performed on August 7 are unfounded by the judges. They were given points longer than usual, and the “scorecards” have not yet been published, he said.

“This is not some kind of military exercise, why not show it? Show how the grades are given. Six minutes were counted. Usually the account takes 1.5-2 minutes, pum-pum, the protocols have been collected. And then they calculated six minutes. Accountants! They would give at least results, protocols. Do not give! Well, nothing, we will be stronger! “, – noted the president.

August 7 at the Tokyo Olympics took place individual all-around rhythmic gymnastics competition. Russian woman Dina Averina took second place, losing gold to Israeli athlete Lina Ashram. Dina’s sister, Alina Averina, took only fourth place. Thus, for the first time in 25 years – since 1996 – Russia has not received a single gold medal in rhythmic gymnastics. In the team competition, the Russians also failed to win gold.

Irina Viner-Usmanova, coach of the Russian national team and head of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation named refereeing at the Olympics “blatant injustice.” Representatives of the Russian national team filed protests against the judges’ marks, but the committee rejected them.
