The Visa payment system in 2022 will change the interbank commissions for paying for goods in supermarkets. About it informs RBC with reference to the company’s press service.
So, commissions from February 1 will grow from 1% to 1.3% of the cost of goods. For large retail chains, Visa has a preferential tariff of 0.5% – it will remain unchanged, but this year Platinum premium cards have already been excluded from it.
Preferential programs for stores with a large turnover will be canceled in three stages: from July 8, 2022 for furniture stores, including sellers of building materials and gardening; from August 5 – for household appliances chains; from September 30 – for courier services.

For 2021, by data Associations of Internet trading companies, online stores will pay more than 80 billion rubles to banks for accepting non-cash payments.
