At least 82 people were victims of Hurricane Ida in the United States, informs ABC with reference to local authorities.
Most of the deaths in the states of New York and New Jersey. The hurricane also claimed lives in Pennsylvania and Louisiana.
In Louisiana, 301,000 people were left without electricity on Wednesday night, in New Orleans, electricity was partially restored.
26,000 workers are currently rehabilitating broken and damaged power lines in the state. However, according to preliminary estimates, in some of the most affected areas, including the parish of Lafourche and Plakemines, electricity will not be restored until September 29th.
Access to water remains a major concern in the state, and boil guidelines are still valid in Jefferson, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. Tammany, St. John the Baptist, Plakemines and Tangipahoa parishes.
Hurricane of the fourth category “Ida” collapsed to Louisiana in the last week of August. At the time the hurricane reached the coast of the state, the wind speed reached 150 miles per hour (over 240 km / h). The hurricane was assigned the fourth category out of five.
