In Izhevsk, law enforcement officers detained an alleged member of a group that provided criminal services in the shadow segment of the Internet. How informs “Interfax”, said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

The arrest was carried out by the police together with the FSB officers from the “M” department. According to Volk, the suspect “administered an account in one of the messengers used by the organizer of attempted murder and other crimes.”

The detention was carried out as part of the investigation of a criminal case initiated into the murder of spouses in the Kolchuginsky district of the Vladimir region. Currently, the criminal case is being processed by the investigator of the Investigative Committee of Russia, explained Volk.

As the official representative of the Investigative Committee, Svetlana Petrenko, said, earlier in this criminal case, the perpetrator of the crime, as well as accomplices who collected personal data, information about the whereabouts of the victims and transferred them to the perpetrator of the murder, were detained.

“They are in custody. The accomplices were charged with committing a crime under paragraphs “a”, “h” of part 2 of article 105, part 1 of article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder; illegal arms trafficking), “Petrenko said.

According to a representative of the Investigative Committee, the detained 38-year-old resident of Izhevsk may be involved in organizing the murder of two persons, preparing for the murder, acquiring and transferring weapons and ammunition.

“The activity of the service was carried out on condition of anonymity using means of network secrecy. The owner of the service accepted payment in cryptocurrency or in fiat money through electronic wallets registered to dummies, ”Petrenko said.

The suspect’s apartment was searched, items and documents relevant to the investigation were seized: mobile phones, computers, other technical means necessary to ensure the operation of the service, more than a thousand SIM cards from various telecom operators, more than 500 bank cards, as well as a large amount of cash Money.

“The suspect has been detained. The issue of bringing charges against him and choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is being resolved. He will also be checked for involvement in the commission of other similar crimes, ”said Petrenko.
