A digital copy of Leonardo da Vinci’s painting Madonna Litta from the collection of the State Hermitage was sold at an NTF auction for $ 150,000. About it informs Interfax.
The auction took place on the Binance crypto exchange marketplace for a week – from August 31 to September 7. In addition to Madonna Litta, the Hermitage put up for auction Van Gogh’s Lilac Bush, Kandinsky’s Composition VI and Claude Monet’s Garden Corner at Montgeron.
On all digital lots costs signature of the Director of the Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky. According to the results of the auction, the most expensive work was da Vinci’s work – it was purchased by a user with the nickname “Anonymous_8zz0” for $ 150.5 thousand (at the rate of over 10 million rubles). The starting price of each digital painting token was $ 10,000.
Earlier in August, the museum accused the leader of the Rammstein group Till Lindemann in the illegal sale of NFT with images taken in the Hermitage during the filming of the video “Favorite City”. Following the negotiations, the museum allowed the musicians to use NFT images of the Hermitage on the Twelve X Twelve marketplace.
