In the elections to the legislative assembly of St. Petersburg, in addition to a deputy from Yabloko and a columnist for Novaya Gazeta Boris Lazarevich Vishnevsky, two of his namesake competitors were registered – Boris Ivanovich Vishnevsky (formerly his name was Viktor Bykov) from the Green Party and Boris Gennadievich Vishnevsky ( former name – Alexey Shmelev). In this regard, the “real” Boris Vishnevsky appealed with a complaint to the chairman of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova.
The document notes that the collectors of signatures for the duplicate candidates were not seen on the territory of the constituency. As a result, the same person somehow managed to collect more than 8 thousand signatures for both candidates. Boris Lazarevich Vishnevsky believes that this cannot be done legally.
The photographs of the duplicate candidates have signs of photomontage, say the experts to whom Boris Vishnevsky refers. In addition, acquaintances of political spoilers stated that other people were depicted in the election photos.
The Insider tried to get clarification from the duplicate candidates, but they declined to comment.
The complaint by Boris Lazarevich Vishnevsky also states that local election commissions actually do not comply with the CEC’s recommendation to indicate in information posters not only the current names and surnames of candidates, but also the old ones if they have changed. Name change information “hides under the text array”.
On September 5, Boris Vishnevsky’s doubles submitted their photographs to the election commission, in which they appeared with beards and mustaches, like the leader of the Yabloko faction in the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly, and changed their hairstyle, achieving maximum resemblance. Ella Pamfilova commented on this situation on Monday. She called what was happening “just a disgrace, disgrace.”
“This is just a mockery of the voters. Unfortunately, the law is very liberal to such manifestations, and I believe that at the end of the campaign, we, for our part, despite the fact that we do not have the right to initiate legislation, will prepare a proposal for new legislators so that such shameful cases simply do not exist, ”- said she is to Kommersant.
The head of the CEC noted that Vishnevsky’s doubles can formally participate in the elections, and expressed the hope that the voters will figure it out.
