Five protocols for a similar article were received against Facebook. Two more protocols under this article were received in relation to Telegram. All meetings are scheduled for September 14th.
“Thus, taking into account all the protocols submitted to the court, Facebook faces a fine of 40 million rubles, Twitter – 16 million, Telegram – also 16 million rubles,” the court concluded.
Twitter, Facebook and Telegram have been repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility for violation of Russian law since the beginning of the year. Google, Mail.ru, TikTok and WhatsApp were also fined millions of dollars.
The total fines received by Twitter in the Russian Federation since the beginning of this year amounted to more than 50 million rubles, Facebook – more than 60 million rubles.
