About 40 people were detained near the FSB building in Simferopol, where lawyers, activists and relatives of the detained Crimean Tatars gathered. About it informs “Play”.
They draw up protocols on non-compliance with police requirements. Among the detained were the correspondents of “Crimean Solidarity” and the publication “Grani”.
After the start of the action, law enforcement agencies drove an empty bus, a policeman approached the crowd and read out a demand to disperse, referring to quarantine measures. After that, the audience stood one and a half meters apart to maintain social distance, but no one left. Then an OMON bus drove up to the building, and the officers, without warning, began to detain everyone on the street.
Those gathered tried to find out at least some information about the five Crimean Tatars detained in recent days, among whom is the deputy chairman of the Mejlis Nariman Dzhelal. They were detained as part of an investigation into possible damage to the gas pipeline in the Perevalnoye area, and then disappeared.
Relatives, lawyers and activists of the “Crimean Solidarity” association for several days tried to find the detainees, but to no avail.
As the newspaper notes, the fact of damage to the gas pipeline has not yet been confirmed.
