The journalist notes that the Taliban celebrate the victory with shots in the air – shooting is heard in Kabul and other cities of Afghanistan. At the same time, according to words journalist “BBC”, the shooting by the militants may not be associated with the capture of Panjshir province, but with the fact that the Taliban leaders arrived in the Afghan capital.
At the same time, RIA Novosti informsthat representatives of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan deny information about the loss of control over Panjshir.
Recall that the Panjshir province is the last region of Afghanistan that was not controlled by the Taliban. In early August, militants captured most of Afghanistan, and entered Kabul on August 15. President Ashraf Ghani responded by resigning and leaving for the UAE. Ordinary Afghans also began to flee the country occupied by the Taliban: a stampede began at the Kabul airport because of this, in which perished at least 20 people.
