Grigory Zusev, director of the MSTU “Stankin” institute, was detained in Moscow in a case of large-scale fraud. By a court decision, he was placed under house arrest until October 2. About it informs TASS citing a source.
Zusev is suspected of embezzling up to 500 million rubles (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code). According to the agency’s source, he has already confessed. The investigation petitioned for his arrest, but a milder measure of restraint was chosen.
A pre-investigation check against university employees was initiated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
MSTU “Stankin” is one of the nine backbone universities in the country. The university is engaged in the training of engineering and scientific personnel for various branches of the machine-building complex.
