In the Novosibirsk region, the regional department of the Federal Penitentiary Service has opened a special class on the basis of school No. 67, where future employees of the department will be trained, it says in the message of the FSIN.

“Students in the classroom of children will be prepared for further admission and training in educational institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia,” the statement says.

The preparation of children for admission to specialized universities and work in colonies and prisons will be dealt with by “specialists of the territorial body” of the penal system, including employees of the special purpose department “Corsair”.

At the class hour on September 1, Oleg Tishechko, deputy head of the regional department of the Federal Penitentiary Service, spoke about the “advantages of service in the penitentiary system of Russia.”

“All pedagogical work with students of grade 10 B, literally and figuratively, fell on the shoulders of his class teacher, Roman Yastremsky. There is not the slightest doubt that the extensive experience of working with the pupils of the military-patriotic club “Corsair” and interaction with the employees of the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Novosibirsk region will be the key to his successful work in a new and important field, “the ministry’s press service noted.

The Federal Penitentiary Service was one of the first to open such a class in 2010 at school number 39 in Angarsk, Irkutsk region, where the maximum security colony number 15, known for torturing prisoners, is located. Over the past 10 years, classes have appeared in the Volgograd and Vologda regions. A similar class was previously opened in Krasnoyarsk on the basis of school number 72, but the Krasnoyarsk school reported that the profile class is not being prepared for admission to the universities of the Federal Penitentiary Service, and schoolchildren will study history and social studies in depth.
