The jury in the Sverdlovsk District Court of Krasnoyarsk found businessman Anatoly Bykov guilty of organizing a double murder in the early 90s. About it informs press service of the local court.
This week, September 2, also will take place debate of the prosecution and defense on the measures of qualification of Bykov’s actions and the measure of punishment. The final decision – the verdict on the case – will be delivered on September 3.
Consequence considers Bykov, the creator of a criminal community. According to the Investigative Committee, in 1993-1995, the businessman “rallied around himself the organized criminal groups of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.” Among them are the gangs of crime bosses Vilor Struganov (known as Pasha Tsvetomuzyka) and Vladimir Tatarenkov.
The prosecution believes that in 1994 Bykov fell out with a certain 23-year-old Alexander Naumov, whom the Investigative Committee calls a member of the group headed by the businessman, “in connection with the unfair, in the opinion of the former, distribution of income.”
After a quarrel, an attempt was made on Bykov’s life. Businessman, according to consequences, decided that the explosion at his car was organized by Naumov together with his friend Kirill Voitenko. Bykov, in response, instructed to kill them to his acquaintance, the already mentioned authority Tatarenkov, who attracted members of his gang to this. They followed the victims, and on July 24, 1994, they killed Voitenko and Naumov. Tatarenkov testified against Bykov, he himself denies guilt.
From 1998 to 2000 Bykov was the chairman of the board of directors of KrAZ. From 1997 to 2016, Bykov was elected a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. In 2013, he headed the local branch of the Patriots of Russia party. In October 2000, Bykov was accused of ordering the murder of one of his partners. In the summer of 2002, the court sentenced him to 6.5 years suspended for organizing an attempt on the life of businessman Vilor Struganov (Pasha Tsvetomuzyka). The assassination attempt was staged. In July 2003, Bykov received another year for hiding the traces of the murder of Oleg Gubin, but was amnesty.
