The Chinese authorities have tightened restrictions on the access of minors to video games, now they can not play on weekdays. About it reported in the press release of the General Directorate of Press and Publications of the PRC.
Children are now only allowed to play for one hour on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays. Outside these time slots, online platforms are prohibited from providing services to minors.
Until now, teenagers were allowed to play an hour and a half a day on weekdays and three hours a day on weekends.
To check the age of users, when registering in games, they must be required to indicate their real names and phone number.
The Chinese authorities believe that video games are addictive in children, therefore, over the past few years, they have regularly tightened access to them.
