On August 28, at the Zavidovo recreation complex in the Tver region, where Lindemann was staying, police officers dressed in civilian clothes held a conversation with the artist.
According to Baza, one of the Rammstein representatives began to clash with the security forces and was detained. Lindemann himself was “issued an order not to violate antiquated measures in connection with the alleged concert in the Tver region, which was planned despite the restrictions on holding mass events.”
On August 29, the Rammstein frontman planned to perform at the McLarin festival in support of the Rodina party, according to the event’s website.
Initially, the band “Bi-2” was supposed to be the headliner of the McLarin festival. However, on August 23, the musicians announced that they would not be able to perform as the local authorities issued them “a warning against holding this event” due to a possible violation of antiquated restrictions.
Due to the spread of coronavirus in the Tver region, it is allowed to hold mass cultural and sports events with the participation of no more than 500 people. In this case, the seats and stands can be filled by 50%. The organizer of the McLarin Festival said the restrictions would be respected.
