In Veliky Novgorod, a court canceled the registration for elections of two candidates for deputies of the regional duma from the Yabloko party, Maxim Nikitin and Roman Maksimov. About it informs »7х7».
The reason was their participation in a rally in support of politician Alexei Navalny on January 23, which the court regarded as a connection with the extremist community. During this action Nikitin and Maksimov were detained. Later, Maksimov was arrested for 12 days, and Nikitin was sentenced to 20 hours of compulsory labor.
On August 26, the election commission of the Pskov region excluded Lev Shlosberg from the regional list of candidates from Yabloko in the upcoming elections to the Pskov regional assembly of deputies. Prior to this, the CEC removed Schlossberg from the elections to the State Duma in the Khovrinsky single-mandate constituency No. 207.
In early August, the Moscow City Court canceled the registration of the politician in the elections at the suit of his rival in this constituency, the candidate from the Green Party, Andrei Panayev. Schlossberg, in his opinion, was allegedly connected with Navalny’s structures, which were recognized by the Moscow City Court as extremist organizations on June 9.
Schlossberg, speaking to The Insider, noted that the “anti-legal judicial attack” on him is associated with the security forces who control such “fake” political parties as the Greens. Panayev ran specifically to get him removed from the elections, said a Yabloko representative.
On the same day, August 26, a court in Pskov removed from the elections the deputy of the regional assembly, the current municipal deputy, a member of the Yabloko party and activist Nikolai Kuzmin for supporting Navalny.
A lawsuit against Kuzmin was filed by his rival in the district, running for the Russian Party of Pensioners for Social Justice, the ex-head of the city police department Dzhemal Malyshev. He attached to the application a screenshot from social networks with a photograph from four years ago, in which Kuzmin was photographed with Navalny. He also found pictures from the 2017 protests in which Kuzmin participated. In addition, Malyshev wrote in a statement that an administrative case was drawn up against Kuzmin for a protest in support of Navalny on January 23. The deputy was then detained 7 minutes before the official start of the rally.
