Daria Artamonova, independent candidate to the Berdsk City Council of the Novosibirsk Region reported on Instagram that unknown people threaten her relatives. They use funeral symbols in their threats.
On Friday evening, the song “They killed a negro” was sent to the voice mail of Daria’s mother from an unknown number. Then the attackers called the husband of Artamonova’s sister and played the funeral march on the phone.
On the evening of August 24, a courier handed over a parcel for 19-year-old Daria Artamonova. He handed the black bag tied with wire to the girl’s mother. Inside there was a funeral wreath with a ribbon on which was written: “Alexander Nikolaevich, Galina Alexandrovna, we mourn for Daria with you.”
After returning home, Daria called the police, informs “Courier.Sreda.Berdsk”. The employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrived 4 hours later, after 3-4 calls from Artamonova to the emergency service. The police accepted the statement about the threats, but said that they did not regard them as real and, probably, would not open a criminal case under Art. 119 of the Criminal Code (threat of murder or grievous bodily harm).
Then, nevertheless, the case was opened. However, as part of the investigation, Daria Artamonova was fingerprinted and tested with a polygraph. reported “Coalition Novosibirsk 2020”.
Daria Artamonova connects the threats with her participation in the elections to the Council of Deputies and open criticism of the United Russia party. On August 24, the relatives of the previously withdrawn candidate Mikhail Ryazantsev, who is helping Daria Artamonova in her election campaign, were also called with threats.
“I don’t know what you, my not respected ill-wishers, are trying to achieve, but you are acting extremely mean and low. My parents are not involved in my political activities, and they cannot influence me in any way. Maybe talk to me? Let’s find out where the young girl was able to annoy so much that you wish death and broadcast it to your parents. Scum, ”she wrote on Instagram.
Daria Artamonova is being nominated to the Berdsk City Council as a self-nominated candidate for constituency number 6. Pavel Shayakhmetov is her rival from United Russia. He works as a chief engineer at the Kristall sports club. It is headed by local businessman Viktor Golubev. And Viktor Golubev’s brother Vladimir is the current speaker of the city council of Berdsk, “Taiga.Info” notes.
The current deputy of the City Council and a member of the United Russia faction, Mikhail Gogol, is also registered as a self-nominated candidate in this district.
On August 13, a Berdsk court refused to restore the registration of the city council candidate Ilya Pukhovsky due to the fact that opposition leader Alexei Navalny mentioned him in one of the videos. Later, the Berdsk court refused to restore the registration of four more independent candidates from the Berdsk 2021 coalition – Kirill Levchenko, Olga Nechaeva, Vyacheslav Yakimenko and Sergei Kosova. They were also accused of having links with extremist organizations, to which the authorities ranked Navalny’s structures. Already ten independent candidates have not been admitted to the elections to the City Council, which will be held on September 17-19, writes “Siberia. Realities”.
