In Russia, 50,421 people with coronavirus infection died in July. This is 1.8 times more than in June (27,443 deaths), reported Rosstat. In addition, the published figures indicate an approximately two-fold underestimation of the daily mortality rate from COVID-19.

According to him, the coronavirus is considered the leading cause of death in 44 128 cases in July. Of these, 38,922 cases of COVID-19 have already been clearly identified as the main cause of death, and for another 5,206 cases, additional medical research is needed.

As a concomitant disease, coronavirus infection was diagnosed in 6,293 deaths. Of these, in 1,449 patients, COVID-19 influenced the development of other diseases and contributed to the appearance of complications that accelerated the death, and in 4,844 cases it did not in any way affect the outcome.

In total, 215,265 people died in Russia in July, which is almost 29,610 more than a month earlier, when 185,655 Russians died.

In early August, Rosstat reported the death of 27,108 people with COVID-19 in June, now these data have been updated to 27,443.

According to the ministry’s updated data, in June the coronavirus became the main cause of death in 23,780 cases, of which 3,328 cases require additional medical research. The concomitant disease COVID-19 was in 3,663 deaths, of which in 2,776 cases the coronavirus did not affect the death in any way.

In May, 18,996 people with coronavirus infection died, in April – 20,650, in March – 24,047 people, transfers Interfax.

In total, during the pandemic in Russia, more than 180 thousand deaths from coronavirus were recorded.

At the same time, experts do not believe the regular statistical reports of the official bodies. So, demographer Alexey Raksha in an interview with The Insider notedthat the figures for daily mortality are “absolutely drawn”. In fact, according to his data, the official mortality rate has been underestimated by three times. “They just banned painting more. These are all absolutely drawn figures, they have nothing to do with reality. Everyone understands this, ”said Alexey Raksha.

According to him, the authorities will continue to smear the death rate data. “In winter, they smeared until May, until a new wave, in May they showed more winter deaths. And now they will continue to do so, and there will be 800 deaths ad infinitum. I know for sure that now there are 2400-2500 deaths a day, ”he explained. Shortly thereafter, the curve of the daily increase in deaths from the coronavirus crept upward, overstepping the bar of 800 deaths.

The latest data from Rosstat indirectly confirm the words of the demographer. They indicate that the data were on average underestimated by more than half.
