In Ufa, the police detained for 48 hours ex-volunteer of the local headquarters Alexei Navalny and deputy of the Russian-Yurmash village council in the Ufa region, Albert Gaskarov. About it informs OVD-Info with reference to the activist’s wife.
As the newspaper writes, the detention may be related to a criminal case under the article on participation in the activities of an extremist organization (part 2 of article 282.2 of the Criminal Code).
According to OVD-Info, on the morning of August 25, Gaskarov went to the Investigative Committee for questioning in the case against Navalny. Later, the police detained the Ufa oppositionist.

The activities of the foundation are officially banned, and its members and even just supporters, according to the new law, will not be able to be elected to the legislative bodies of all levels for several years.
