President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyput into effectsanctions against 12 Russian companies, including against the publisher of Vedomosti Business News Media, the newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets and Rostelecom.
Sanctions were also imposed on TRK-3, the Historical Perspectives Research Foundation, the Mutual Assistance Association for Charitable Assistance, the companies Novinfo, Nashe Zavtra, Light Print, Narodnye Novosti, Anna News.
If in relation to Vedomosti and Moskovsky Komsomolets, the sanctions involve blocking sites, then in relation to some other companies they also block assets, restrict trading operations, prohibit the withdrawal of capital, and restrictions on the provision of telecommunications services.
The day before, Zelensky blocked the Ukrainian newspaper Strana.ua. He also approved the blocking of resources that are associated with the head of the unrecognized DPR Denis Pushilin. Restrictions were introduced against the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Derkach.
Last week, Russia expanded the list of sanctions against Ukrainian citizens. It hit the head of the country’s Foreign Ministry Dmitry Kuleba and the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov.
