Already almost a thousand people have been bypassed or called by the Moscow police, demanding that people write a statement about the leakage of personal data to the structures of Alexei Navalny. About this informs OVD-Info.

One of Navalny’s supporters on condition of anonymity told BBC that the police rang at the door of his apartment at about 21:30 and introduced themselves as Criminal Investigation Officers.

“I open the door, invite you inside. I ask, they say, well, what is it. They say, here, your data is on Navalny’s extremist website, did you give your data? Did you go to the rallies? I replied that I knew nothing, ”the interlocutor recounted the essence of the conversation.

After that, the police asked if he wanted to write a statement that his data had been stolen and used.

According to OVD-Info, not only those whose data were in the public domain after the leak from the sites Freedom Navalny and Smart Voting, but also those who sent donations to the Anti-Corruption Fund faced police visits.

In June, the Moscow City Court recognized the Anti-Corruption Foundation and other structures of Navalny as extremist organizations. Now the activities of the foundation are officially banned, and its members and even just supporters, according to the new law, will not be able to be elected to the legislative bodies of all levels for several years. Previously, FBK was recognized as an organization performing the role of a foreign agent.

In April, the database of participants in the “Freedom to Navalny” protest leaked into the network. Navalny’s team accused ex-FBK employee Fyodor Gorozhanko of leaking the data, he himself denies any involvement in the leak.
