According to her, the city received 57 mm of precipitation in two hours, which is 130% of the monthly norm.
Heavy rain began in Simferopol at about 15:00 Moscow time. In some districts of the city, hail fell the size of a ruble coin, on several streets – water up to the waist.
Arrivals and departures of nine planes are delayed at the Simferopol airport.
A storm warning is in effect in Crimea.
Heavy downpours were in Crimea from early summer to mid-July. Yalta, Kerch and Bakhchisarai region suffered the most. Four thousand people were recognized as victims, two people were killed, one was missing. About 700 houses were flooded, 30 bridges and 72 km of roads were damaged. The preliminary amount of damage is 4.7 billion rubles.
