China successfully launched the Tianhui II-02 remote sensing satellite group into Earth’s orbit. About it informs Xinhua.
The satellites were launched at 06:32 Beijing time using the Changzheng 4B launch vehicle from the Taiyuan cosmodrome in Shanxi province, the agency said.
The Tianhui II-02 satellites were developed by the Shanghai Academy of Space Technology to perform a number of tasks, including scientific experiments and research, reconnaissance and tracking of the Earth’s surface and natural resources, as well as for topographic and defense purposes.
In July of this year, China also launched the Tianhui I-04 satellite of this series using a Changzheng 2D launch vehicle.
