“On the information portal Ambebi.ge yesterday there was published an interview with Alexey Navalny, the author of which was named Elena Vavina, – it says in the Ambebi post. – The material was translated from a Russian source. The author denies the authenticity of the interview, and today it is not possible to find the original source on the Internet ”.
Georgian journalists suggested that “the material was posted on the Internet for the purpose of spreading disinformation,” and Ambebi’s editorial staff “unwittingly made a translation of an inaccurate article.”
Previously, Russian journalist Elena Vavina on her Facebook page wrotethat “I have never done an interview with Navalny.”
In the Ambebi publication, Navalny, who is serving time in a colony, was credited with several criticisms that were addressed to his associates.
