Mayor of Kryvyi Rih dies from a gunshot wound to the head

The head of Krivoy Rog in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine, Konstantin Pavlov, was found dead. The official’s body was found on the veranda of his house on Ukrainian Street. Next to him lay the MKM hunting rifle, writes “Informant”.

According to preliminary data, death occurred from a gunshot wound to the head. The head of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Valentin Reznichenko, said that it is not yet clear whether the incident should be qualified as murder or suicide.

The head of the main department of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region Anatoly Shchadilo, the head of the Kryvyi Rih district police department, investigative teams and employees of the forensic laboratory are at the scene of the incident.

The criminal case was initiated under Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (murder), informs regional GU NP.
