Officials at the US embassy in Kabul were ordered to begin the destruction of classified materials, stressing that the Biden administration is preparing for the embassy to be seized by the Taliban. About it informs Bloomberg.

According to a copy of the notice of the order sent to the embassy, the staff is instructed to “reduce the amount of confidential materials on site.” Anything that has logos, US flags, “or items that could be misused in propaganda efforts” must be destroyed.

The email details the ways that diplomats can destroy materials: use incinerators and paper shredders, a disintegrator for electronics, incinerators for medical waste, and a compactor that “can crush objects too large for a disintegrator.”

Two administration officials, on condition of anonymity, told Bloomberg that the killing procedure is standard when US embassy officials abroad leave.

Militants of the terrorist movement “Taliban” previously captured the capital of Zabul province in southern Afghanistan, informs Associated Press.

According to unconfirmed reports, the militants also captured the provincial capital of Logar. It is located 50 km from Kabul. Currently, the Taliban have surrounded the administrative center of the province of Uruzgan, the city of Tarinkot.

The leadership of the extremist movement announced that it would conduct hostilities until the establishment of Islamic rule in the country.

“The Taliban will not accept Kabul’s proposal for a power-sharing and ceasefire. Our goal is to end foreign intervention and form an Islamic government in the country, ”he said. – If they agree to this, then we will be ready for a truce. If Kabul is not ready to agree with our demands, then it will be easy for us to continue the struggle and wage jihad, ” stated Times Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid.

In recent days, the terrorist movement has been trying to take over the capital. US Department of Defense spokesman citing intelligence data earlier reportedthat Kabul could fall under the Taliban’s onslaught within three months.
