“I am too big a bone in my throat to let me vote.” Boris Vishnevsky on his reinstatement as a candidate

This was the second attack on me. The first happened when two spoilers filed a complaint against me that I was allegedly involved in the activities of an extremist organization. This is how they tried to portray my defense of the detainees in St. Petersburg at the rallies in January and February.

Now was the second stage of the attack, and I think others will follow. They will not calm down, I am too big a bone in my throat to just let me participate in the elections and win. I am very pleased that in this particular case, law and justice prevailed.

Not only I am under attack, but all Yabloko in St. Petersburg, and not only in St. Petersburg. It is enough to look at what happens with Lev Schlosberg in Pskov. In St. Petersburg, five of our twenty-five single-mandate candidates were removed. I have already been reinstated, there is one more decision of the working group of the electoral commission recommending that it be reinstated. In three other situations, we will apparently have to resolve the issue in court. I think that Yabloko will still be subject to many attacks, because there is no more opposition in these elections.

As for the fight against my counterparts, it will be very simple: I will explain to the citizens as much as possible that the real Vishnevsky is me. But in order to distinguish the real Vishnevsky from the fake one, you will have to spend some time and effort. Surely, they will manage to take some of the votes from me, I do not exclude this, for this it was all started. My task is to explain exactly to my supporters so that they do not confuse the original with forgeries.
