The Anti-Corruption Foundation and the Foundation for the Protection of Citizens’ Rights have included in the official list of individuals and organizations involved in extremist activities or terrorism. Information about this appeared August 10 on the Rosfinmonitoring website.
These organizations will have their bank accounts blocked, and they will not be able to open new accounts either.
On June 9, the Moscow City Court recognized the FBK as an extremist organization. Now the activities of the foundation are officially banned, and its members and even just supporters, according to the new law, will not be able to be elected to the legislative bodies of all levels for several years. Previously, FBK was recognized as an organization performing the role of a foreign agent.
