The police detained the director, cook and waiter of the restaurant carriage of the Murmansk-Adler train, in which 91 children were poisoned. About it informs TASS with reference to Elena Markovskaya, a representative of the Moscow Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
They are accused under clause “a” of Part 2 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code (“Provision of services that do not meet the health safety requirements of consumers”) and under Part 1 of Art. 236 of the Criminal Code (“Violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules, which, through negligence, resulted in mass poisoning of people”).
On August 7, a group of children from Karelia, who followed the train from Murmansk to Adler, were hospitalized in the Krasnodar Territory with symptoms of poisoning. By August 8, the number of children with poisoning reached 91.
Searches took place in a company that supplied the train with food. An inspection of the dining car was also carried out, specialists took samples of the daily diet of children and washings of surfaces.
