The Russian authorities have planned to forcibly transfer teachers and civil servants to domestic messengers and e-mail by 2022. About it informs Kommersant.
According to the newspaper, this will happen within the framework of the state program “Creation of additional conditions for the development of information technologies.” The project involves the development of services for managing tasks and electronic documents.
As part of the state program, by December 2021, the Ministry of Finance will prepare documents for transferring state employees to the state platform “support of working communications: mail, instant messengers, video communication services.” By February 2022, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education will develop recommendations for teachers, they will have to communicate with parents, schoolchildren and students only through Russian services.
The project has already been approved by the government commission on digital development.
Recall that at the end of 2020, Microsoft refused to sell its programs at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University. In April 2021, Zoom also banned Russian government officials from purchasing their software from distributors. The authorities announced their intention to transfer to domestic equipment and programs of the owners of communication networks, IT systems of government agencies, energy, financial, telecommunications and other companies by 2024. According to the RUIE, the transition will cost 1 trillion rubles.
