In Russia, 22 160 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected. About it informs headquarters for infection control.
According to official data, most of all new patients with COVID-19 were detected in Moscow – 2,150. St. Petersburg is in second place – 1,895 new patients with coronavirus, in third place is the Moscow region, 1,487 cases have been identified there. Further on the list of regions are the Nizhny Novgorod (+539) and Sverdlovsk (+522) regions.
The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic in Russia has reached 6,469,910.
Another 769 people have died from the coronavirus per day; in total, 165,650 people have died since the beginning of the pandemic, according to official figures.
