In Rome, they detained Maria Licciardi, who is called the head of a mafia clan that is part of the Neapolitan criminal structure Camorra. About it informs газета The Republic.
As the newspaper notes, during the arrest, Licciardi did not offer resistance and remained completely calm.
By information newspaper La Stampa, Maria Licciardi became the head of a criminal gang in 1994 – immediately after the death of her brother Gennaro. In 2009, Lichchardi was sentenced to eight years in prison for participation in a criminal community. After leaving prison, she continued to manage the clan, whose main activities are racketeering, drug trafficking, weapons, and also smuggling.
In addition, Lichchardi’s group began to engage in human trafficking. The clan members bought up girls in Albania and sold them to third countries.
