Roskomnadzor restricted access in Russia to one of the largest online resources for artists, DeviantArt, due to its refusal to remove prohibited content. About it reported in the department.

“The administration of the DeviantArt resource once again ignored the requirements of Roskomnadzor and within the allotted time did not restrict access to dangerous, primarily for children, content. On August 3, Roskomnadzor restricted access to the DeviantArt resource, ”the ministry said.

They noted that, starting in 2019, Roskomnadzor sent 145 requests to the administration of the DeviantArt resource about the need to remove prohibited materials posted on the website.

Once again block the resource Roskomnadzor threatened July 29. Then the department reported that it repeatedly demanded that the administration of the resource remove illegal information. “At present, the pages of this site with child pornography, suicidal, pro-narcotic, Nazi and other content recognized as prohibited by the authorities and courts remain available,” the ministry said in a statement.

DeviantArt is an online commercial gallery and artist community founded in the USA in 2001. It is one of the largest resources for photographers, illustrators and writers.
