A typhoon is approaching the Far East, the Ministry of Emergency Situations recommended to evacuate tourists from the sea coast

The Ministry of Emergency Situations recommended to evacuate tourists from the sea coast in the regions of the Far East due to the approaching typhoon. About it reported in the press service of the department.

“In order to protect the population and territories from the effects of a complex of hazardous meteorological phenomena, I propose to timely take the necessary preventive measures, including warning and early evacuation of vacationers from the coastal area, check the readiness of emergency recovery teams for a possible response to disruption of the functioning of life support facilities of the population, as well as availability and serviceability of backup power supplies, stocks of material reserves, “- says the appeal, which the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Evgeny Zinichev sent to the heads of the Khabarovsk and Primorsky Territories, the Amur and Jewish regions, as well as the Ministry of Energy.

According to the ministry’s forecast, a cyclone from China is expected to arrive in the region from 7 to 9 August. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, during this period, up to 110 mm of precipitation can fall per day, and the wind temperature can reach 30 m / s.

Rescuers in the Far Eastern regions have been put on high alert. Also, reserves have been created to eliminate possible emergencies, repair and restoration teams are on readiness, storm water inlets and storm sewers are being cleaned.
