The cause of the teacher’s death has not yet been specified.
Yasen Zasursky began working at the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University in 1953. After 12 years, he took up the position of dean, having served there for 42 years. In 2007, he stepped down as Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and received the honorary position of President of the Faculty of Journalism.
During his career, Zasursky received many awards, was a laureate of three Moscow State University prizes and prizes of the Russian government in the field of print media. In 2003, he was awarded the title of Honored Professor of Moscow State University, and in 2018 – Honored Journalist of Russia.
