Three five-star hotels have been evacuated in Bodrum due to wildfires in Turkey. About it informs DHA.
According to the agency, the fire started in the Icmeler quarter and began to quickly approach the residential area due to strong winds. The evacuation was carried out for preventive purposes. There is no immediate threat of hotel fires.
Earlier today, Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli said that 88 forest fires in 30 Turkish provinces have been brought under control over the past four days. Another 10 fires are being extinguished in the provinces of Adana, Antalya, Mugla, Mersin and Osmaniye.
The fires affected the popular Turkish resorts of Bodrum and Marmaris, in the area of which several hotels have already been evacuated.
At least six victims of the natural disaster were reported, at least 410 people were affected.
