The ex-governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Sergey Furgal said that he developed bilateral pneumonia after the coronavirus suffered in April, and complained about the lack of the necessary medical care from the staff of the Lefortovo SIZO. About it informs TASS with reference to Furgal’s statement made in the First Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction.
“I have bilateral pneumonia, but I am not provided with any appropriate treatment in the pre-trial detention center. They didn’t give me any reason, they didn’t show any evidence of my involvement in the charges brought against me, ”the agency quoted the ex-governor as saying.
In a conversation with the Daily Storm, Furgal’s lawyer Dmitry Dovgy toldthat the politician still has the consequences of bilateral pneumonia. “Outwardly, he looks normal, he has a fighting mood. The point is that he has the consequences of this bilateral pneumonia, and he is not examined [в СИЗО]”, – said Long.
Sergei Furgal was detained in July last year. According to the investigation, he organized the attempted murder of an entrepreneur and the murder of two more businessmen in 2004-2005. In early February 2021, he was finally charged. The ex-head of the Khabarovsk Territory himself denies guilt and considers the case to be politically motivated.
