RKN threatened to block DeviantArt online resource for artists

Roskomnadzor sent a request to one of the largest Internet resources for artists, DeviantArt, to remove prohibited content, threatening to block the portal in Russia. About it it says on the RKN website.

The department reports that it has repeatedly demanded that the administration of the resource remove illegal information. “At present, the pages of the said site with child pornography, suicidal, pro-narcotic, Nazi and other content recognized as prohibited by the authorities and courts remain available,” the RKN said in a statement.

Roskomnadzor emphasizes that “if illegal content is not removed, access to the resource will be limited.”

DeviantArt is an online commercial gallery and artist community founded in the USA in 2001. It is one of the largest resources for photographers, illustrators and writers.
