Forest fires threaten the Turkish resorts of Marmaris and Antalya. Fire killed three people

According to the minister, the authorities have evacuated residents of 18 villages in Antalya, in the neighboring provinces of Adana and Mersin, evacuation was carried out in 16 settlements.

Since July 27, 41 forest fires have been recorded in 13 out of 81 provinces in Turkey. The second major fire in a week is raging in the vicinity of Marmaris. The first fire began on the morning of 25 July. The fire extinguishing, which lasted two days, involved 10 helicopters and more than 40 fire trucks. The fire destroyed 100 hectares of forest. One firefighter died during extinguishing, writes “Vestnik Kavkaza”.
