The First Eastern District Military Court sent for compulsory treatment of the Irkutsk activist and former volunteer of Navalny’s headquarters Dmitry Nadein, having found him guilty under the article on justifying terrorism (part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code), informs OVD-Info.

By data portal “Siberia.Realii”, November 21, 2020 Nadein wrote a post on his VKontakte page in which he spoke out against the persecution of those who talk about the actions of Mikhail Zhlobitsky, who committed a terrorist attack in the building of the Arkhangelsk FSB in 2018. After that, the activist was arrested.

In April 2020, Nadeina sent for a compulsory forensic psychiatric examination in the Irkutsk SIZO-1. During the survey, experts determined that Nadein had a sluggish schizophrenia, and concluded that he was dangerous to society. In this regard, the investigators filed a petition to send Nadein for compulsory treatment. The court granted this request today.

Nadein’s mother toldthat between 9 and 17 June her son was secretly transported from Irkutsk to Khabarovsk, without explaining why they decided to consider his case in another city. Later, Nadein’s lawyer Dmitry Efremov said that his client was sent there “by mistake”, having confused the place of the case.

On October 31, 2018, a local resident Mikhail Zhlobitsky detonated a bomb in the FSB building in Arkhangelsk. Three FSB officers were injured, the young man himself was killed.

It is known about more than 20 criminal cases on “justification of terrorism”, initiated after the explosion.
